Jesus gives his final words before ascending back to his throne. How the church responds to Jesus’s words teaches us how we prepare for the mission Christ gives us.

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

GOD’S PROVIDENCE & REDEMPTIVE LOVE
Christmas reminds us of how God acts for our good even when we cannot see Him. God provides all we need in Christ so we can live redeemed lives for Him.

John 14:1–4 “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way to where I am going.”

Christmas reminds us that our peace is found in Christ, not in our circumstances or resources. Whether in plenty or in need we have peace from God.

Christmas (Advent) focuses on why Christ entered into humanity. Today we want to ask ourselves if our hope is truly in Jesus or anchored in our circumstances.

THE LORD’S SUPPER (COMMUNION)
Communion proclaims both unity in the church (Christ’s body) in the bread, and purity through forgiveness of sins in the cup. A right understand of the Lord’s Supper includes the whole church and not just the individual.

God created men and women with equal dignity and value, but different in design and role, particularly in the church and home.

LIBERTY OR IDOLATRY?
Things that we are allowed to do in this life either draw us toward, or lead us away from God. What leads us away from God becomes idolatry in our hearts.

ISSUES OF CONSCIENCE
Issues of conscience are areas that are biblically allowed but may lead to sin in yourself or others. Paul answers with truth (biblically accurate) and love (putting others before yourself).
