Psalm 78 is a song calling us to teach the next generation how God provides for his people while purging from among them those who do not remain faithful.

God promises blessing based on obedience to Scripture. We gain obedience by first learning God’s Word and then applying it to our lives. Psalm 119 is a song written to instruct kids using singing.

Today the psalmist invites us to take our pain to God in prayer and sing together corporately (purpose of psalms) so that we encourage one another as a church.

Psalm 71 is a lament, an expression of deep grief or sorrow, that focuses on God’s faithfulness over our current worldly circumstances. It is a call to sing with others through our struggles, lifting our voices collectively up to God.

God, through Ezekiel, calls the people to mourn and grieve over their corrupt leadership. Sin, especially in leadership, must be judged and purged. Grief leads to lasting repentance.
