EZEKIEL 29-30: “FALSE SAVIORS ALWAYS FAIL”

EZEKIEL 29-30: “FALSE SAVIORS ALWAYS FAIL”
Trusting in anything created will ultimately lead to disappointment. The only reliable and trustworthy source of our faith is Jesus. God humbles pride, shatters false hopes, and establishes himself as the sole trustworthy King.

Ezekiel 26-28 “The Pride of Tyre”

THE PRIDE OF TYRE
Human kingdoms and those who pridefully trust in them will inevitably fail. Pride is a destructive force. Only humble dependence on God will endure forever.

Ezekiel 24 “God Provides A Future”

Ezekiel 24 “God Provides A Future”
On the very day when the destruction of Jerusalem commences, God foreshadows the day when peace will prevail. Judgment precedes the arrival of new life, which in turn brings forth hope.

Ezekiel 22 “Being God’s People”

EZEKIEL 22 “BEING GOD’S PEOPLE”
To be God’s people, we must undergo a process of refinement by God and be set apart from the world. This separation allows Jesus to utilize us as instruments in building the church and spreading the gospel to others.

Ezekiel 20:45 – 21:32 “The Sword of the Lord”

“THE SWORD OF THE LORD”
Today’s text warns of God’s impending judgment on Jerusalem (and others) after years of God’s warning his people. However, hope is also embedded in the warning.

Acts 17-18 “Being A Witness For Christ”

“BEING A WITNESS FOR CHRIST”
Jesus taught us all (command imperatives) to spread the gospel and invite others into the Kingdom of Christ. Acts 17-18 delves into various ways we can fulfill this commission.

Psalm 78 “Teach the Next Generation”

“TEACH THE NEXT GENERATION”
Psalm 78 is a song calling us to teach the next generation how God provides for his people while purging from among them those who do not remain faithful.

Psalm 103 – “Bless The Lord, O My Soul”

“BLESS THE LORD, O MY SOUL”
Today the psalmist conveys a command to praise God and provides several themes by which we should lift up our voices to God in praise.

Psalm 119 – “Your Word Is A Lamp To My Feet”

“YOUR WORD IS A LAMP TO MY FEET”
God promises blessing based on obedience to Scripture. We gain obedience by first learning God’s Word and then applying it to our lives. Psalm 119 is a song written to instruct kids using singing.

Psalm 55 “Cast Your Burden on the Lord”

“CAST YOUR BURDEN ON THE LORD”
Today the psalmist invites us to take our pain to God in prayer and sing together corporately (purpose of psalms) so that we encourage one another as a church.
