FINAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CHURCH

The Church in Corinth – 10

DOCTRINES OF THE GOSPEL
Paul teaches through several key doctrines of the gospel. Nothing is more important for us to understand and apply to our lives than the gospel.

The Church in Corinth – 8

THE LORD’S SUPPER (COMMUNION)
Communion proclaims both unity in the church (Christ’s body) in the bread, and purity through forgiveness of sins in the cup. A right understand of the Lord’s Supper includes the whole church and not just the individual.

The Church in Corinth – 7

EQUAL BUT DIFFERENT
God created men and women with equal dignity and value, but different in design and role, particularly in the church and home.

The Church in Corinth – 6

LIBERTY OR IDOLATRY?
Things that we are allowed to do in this life either draw us toward, or lead us away from God. What leads us away from God becomes idolatry in our hearts.

The Church in Corinth – 5

ISSUES OF CONSCIENCE
Issues of conscience are areas that are biblically allowed but may lead to sin in yourself or others. Paul answers with truth (biblically accurate) and love (putting others before yourself).

The Church in Corinth – 4

PURITY IN CHRIST FOR KINGDOM WORK
Scripture calls the church to purity in Christ (or “holiness”). Holiness is not perfection, it is being “set apart” for Kingdom work. We are called to holiness.

The Church in Corinth – 3

UNITY AND PURITY
Every church is called to live in unity and purity for (1) the growth and maturity of the collective body, and (2) as a witness for Christ to the non-believing world.

The Church in Corinth – 2

UNITY AND PURITY
Every local church is called to live in unity and purity for (1) the growth and maturity of the church, and (2) as a witness for Christ to the non-believing world.
