In our first meeting of the Acts Study, we recognized how central breaking bread and fellowship was and has been since the early church, and even before then.
A few months ago, we finished our series in 1st and 2nd Samuel. In that series, we saw king David invite Mephibosheth to eat at his table. In the Gospels, we see Jesus sitting with his disciples where the first communion takes place. In Acts, the early church broke bread together in their homes day by day.
We want to remember and encourage the importance of breaking bread with one another by setting up a time after service to eat and fellowship.
